Sometimes being a parent is mostly about patience. Patience whilst being slapped, pinched, kicked and dribbled on ;0)

Playtime

Zeus is approaching 4 months old now and is developing from a little baby to a boy with a personality and face all of his own. He is curious of other people but reserves his smiles for Ma Ma and Daddy. He has just started to notice our dog and eyes her with equal parts interest and suspicion - I look forward to watching their friendship develop but for now his biggest buddies are his cot full of toys. He likes to lie amongst them all, wriggling and giggling until he falls asleep :0)

And so love grew....

Sunday, Sunday

Last night in London there was a flurry of snow and we woke up this morning to a crispy white blanket. I can hear the excited squeals of children outside and I'm looking forward to taking our son sledging next Winter but Zeus is just 8 weeks old and hates being cold so we decided to snooze together in bed... after all that's what Sundays are for....

Introducing Zeus....

I can't believe it's been a month since my beautiful son Zeus was born. It feels like he has always been with me. His birth was a little bit frantic but with the calm and strength of a little King, he waited patiently for me to regain health - staring silently at his father's face until I was ready to meet him. Patience is something he is teaching me on a daily basis and a wonderful trait that he gets from his father.






There are other things he has inherited from his father like those long eyelashes. The same ones I stare at while his Daddy sleeps on Sunday mornings. And his big feet that will one day walk in the footsteps his father takes for him every day.





He loves the sound of music and the ocean and the colour red. He is as strong as an ox with the knowing expression of an old soul. His pretty brown eyes are wise as they stare intently at me while he feeds in the twilight hours. And what a smile, what a smile :0)
